Legacy is committed to providing the best online memorialization product for your local audience. Our goal is to ensure that your site offers the community a place to remember, brings value to funeral homes and other business partners, and allows a life story to live on.
As part of these efforts, we’ve spent the last year reimagining the newspaper online experience, and we’re thrilled to announce the first of many updates to your cobranded site — a new design that will combine your existing home and browse page.
- Improved User Experience
Readers can easily search and filter obituaries, making it easier to find and engage with the content they are seeking.
- Better Funeral Home Relationships
Notices from Funeral Home Local Spotlight Homes are filtered to the top of the list, with prominent logo display at the top of the page.
- Increased Revenue
The new experience is built for fast page load time and ad viewability with the goal to increase advertising revenue.
When Is This Updating?
The first launch phase will begin in mid to late March for a select group of newspapers. During this time, we will measure the performance of the page, gather feedback, and continue to evolve the experience. If you want to join of our early group of adopters, please contact us at [email protected].
Building for the Future
This single-page experience is just the beginning of our updates and investment in our newspaper pages. In conjunction with this release, we are conducting qualitative user research and measuring audience satisfaction. We are also running optimizations and other tests to determine what the best online obituary experience will be for your users and, as always, support the continued success of your online obituaries.
