Outpouring of Support for Réne Angélil

Family requests that memories and condolences be shared on Legacy.com.

Feb. 4, 2016 – Las Vegas, NV – Less than 24 hours after a celebration of René Angélil’s life occurred at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, over 8,500 condolences have been left at the request of Angélil’s family in the official Guest Book for the event.

As people came into and left the Colosseum last evening, thousands paused to remember Angélil, the husband and former manager of singer Céline Dion, who died of cancer Jan. 14, 2016. One well-wisher wrote, “Dear Céline, May you find comfort in knowing that René will live on in your music, he will live on in your love, and most importantly all the best parts of him will live on in his children. I pray that in time you will find some peace. My sincerest condolences to you and your family.”

Steve Parrott, President and CEO of Legacy.com, who attended the celebration with his wife, Kat Leblanc, said: “The outpouring of support was truly overwhelming for René Angélil’s family, from people who feel indebted to René for launching their careers, to those who have loved Céline’s voice from her very first performance. It is an honor to be of service in remembering any single life.”
