As we focus on growing audience, it’s critical to ensure access to the content your audience wants, whenever and however they want to consume it. Our new fully responsive browse experience shares one design language for all screens and devices. As your visitors access obituaries increasingly from their mobile devices, our goal is to provide an optimized design and fast-loading pages to keep them engaged and returning often.

We’ll continue to optimize the online obituary experience and maximize value for our newspapers. Our design innovation center is dedicated to creating the best user experience while focused on key performance indicators; we’ll monitor results, AB test, and make improvements to ensure that your readers are delighted as they consume the life stories you publish.

Update:
Initial results for our small beta group look very promising with engagement up across devices. Obits consumed per session  are up 30% on desktop, 21% on tablets, and 42% on mobile with bounce rates down on average.
